Generosity in Action: Grampians Health Ballarat Workplace Giving
For the past year, the Ballarat Base Hospital Trained Nurses League Good Samaritan Fund (the Sam Fund) has been making an impact on the lives of people within our community.
Fundraising allows us to provide innovative equipment and services to enhance patient care and staff wellbeing. Donations to our public health service help us make our community stronger, healthier and a better place for us all to live.
The Ballarat Marathon will be held on 27-28 April 2024 and the Ballarat Health Services Foundation is the event’s Headline Charity Partner! Sign up for any event and choose to fundraise for the Ballarat Health Services Foundation. All donations will support projects at Grampians Health Ballarat.
As an added incentive, we are offering free entry to any event in the Ballarat Marathon for any individual who raises $500 or more (using an official Ballarat Marathon Fundraising page). Sign up here, and choose the Ballarat Health Services Foundation as your chosen charity. Already signed up, fundraise for us here.
Adam McNicol, Ballarat Marathon Director, explains the importance of community engagement in the event.
“By choosing the Ballarat Health Services Foundation as our headline charity, we are demonstrating our commitment to exceptional public healthcare in Ballarat. Everyone in the Ballarat community relies on our health service at various times across their lives. We hope that everyone who joins our event helps give back to our health service through fundraising activities.”
Lindsay Florence, Chair of the Ballarat Health Services Foundation, says the foundation is delighted to partner with Ballarat Marathon.
“The key objective of the Ballarat Health Services Foundation is to support Grampians Health Ballarat in helping make our community healthier, stronger and a better place for us all to live. Our relationship with the Ballarat Marathon is a wonderful example of how we can promote a healthy lifestyle while also supporting our local, public health service.”
Ballarat Health Services Foundation is the community fundraising arm of Grampians Health Ballarat. Our purpose is to ensure our community receives world-class healthcare right here, where we and our loved ones live.
We assist the community to raise money to purchase equipment, build facilities and provide programs for and with Ballarat Health Services to make our community healthier, stronger and a better place for us all to live.
We welcome donations of any size – every donation makes a difference. All donations of $2 and over are tax-deductible.
