Growing the Ballarat Health Services Foundation Fund
The Foundation is governed by an independent Council which prudently manages all donations from the community.
The income generated from these investments provides vital support to Ballarat Health Services assisting in the purchase and provision of health facilities and equipment for the Ballarat community.
With your support Ballarat Health Services will continue to be able to meet the community's needs and expectations for health care services.
We can all be proud of the vital role that Ballarat Health Services plays in the wellbeing of Ballarat and Western Victorian communities by offering a comprehensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care rehabilitation, psychiatric and community-based services to more than 200,000 people living in this region.
With your support, Ballarat Health Services is able to meet the demands and expectations of the community and provide a full range of healthcare to people of all ages.

George is a former maritime lawyer and university lecturer who is now a director of his own IT firm in Ballarat. He also co-founded NetConnect Communications, one of the first regional ISPs in Australia.

Shane Bicknell

Shane founded Bicknells Accountants in 1998, a Ballarat-based accounting practice. He is member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Tax agent and an accredited Mindshop Facilitator. He is also a director of the Ballarat Audit Advisory Committee and Farmday Ltd. In his spare time he enjoys flying and holds his Recreational Pilot’s Licence, is a member of the Ballarat Aero Club and president of Ballarat Little Athletics Club.On a personal note, Shane is married to Julie, has two children, Josh 19 and Abby 8, and enjoys camping, bushwalking and attending the football to watch Richmond Tigers. Shane decided to join the Foundation because of his commitment to serving the Ballarat community in the area of health and health care advisory from a business/accounting perspective.
